To compose an exceptionally bad opening sentence for any piece of writing (not limited to novels...but not including blog posts) and to include a photograph or brief description of some aspect of that sentence.
Pulling on my purple and pink legwarmers, I blasted my Footloose soundtrack as loud as I could, all the while hearing Grandma in the back room yelling "where's the beef?" from the cheeseburger I brought her from Wendy's just as the Noid came on TV to tell me I should have gotten Grandma a pizza from Domino's.
I know, pretty pathetic attempt, but I should win for worst sentence, right?
Have a great Monday, I hope I at least somehow reminded you of the wonderful 80's!

The great thing about this opening sentence is that it's so timeless.
Hee!
I love it!! I'm glad you didn't fall into the "make it as gross as possible" crowd. This is a very original sentence...and one that I can relate to.
i love it!!!!! anything that mentions footloose and noids in the same sentence is pure gold!
(my fun monday is at www.emich.nt/~nikki/blog not at my blogger account!)
Brought back some frightening flashes of "Fame" and ballet-neck sweatshirts. Shudder. I had completely forgotten the Noid. Thanks!
enid thinks noid is a very good word indeed :-) a very bad sentence, in her opinion, well done!
HaHa--love the leg warmers and Grandma asking where the beef is!!
Crap, Blogger just ate my fantabulous comment (grrrrrrrrr :( )!
But I think I said something like,
"Wretched in a beautiful kind of way, beginning with the picture and ending with the prose."
That just reminded me why I left Blogger...that, and it won't let me use my TypePad ID...:/.
Ah, legwarmers those were the days of incredibly bad clothes so it kind of goes with your incredibly bad sentence which I love!
I thought it was pretty damn funny as I am picturing you in your leg warmers, lol!
Footloose is one of my all time favorite songs. Don't judge me...
A great sentence that brought back some not-so-fond memories. hee hee - good job
Dreaming What Ifs...
Aah purple leg warmer haven't seen any of those for years
I think I had those leg warmers!
I'd forgotten the Noid.
(In 25 years people will be waxing nostalgic, perhaps not in exceptionally bad sentences, about today)
you're either worst at being best.. or best at being worst which is it?????
I liked it too!! Great use of Pop culture!
You know that legwarmers are making a come back right? Ahh, legwarmers.
Thanks for the blast from the past! Now I'm going to have Footloose in my head, all.day.long.
Footloose!
Oh my eyes! The 80s...please please please don't make me go back there.
Although I loved Footloose and Flashdance.
Were you wearing your banana clip, fingerless lace gloves and bangles while you type that? : )
Ha! Wendy's mmmmmmmm....
Great job! I loved leg warmers, but my mom never bought them for me. She would only buy those rainbow colored socks that had a place for every toe, very uncomfortable.
aaaah - I'm now having flashbacks! love it :)

Oh holy crap! You know that Noid was actually made into a video game (for the original Nintendo, I think) and I was sooo addicted to it as a pre-teen. Hahaha
Ahh the 80's and purple leg warmers! I lived in southern California and it wasn't really cool enough but ya gotta know I wore them anyway. Had to be in style you know. I can't believe I thought they were cool! Loved the post though!
