Come Live On My Street

Because I know how much bloggers love bullet points:
- Audrey is fine, well, kind of. The slight fever she had went away, but the sleepless nights did not. It didn't occur to us until last night that she might have an ear infection, so we started her on the Floxin drops. If those don't work, it's back to the doctor tomorrow. And she goes to the ENT next week...

- Ashley has gotten into a habit of coming into our room in the mornings at about 5:30am and climbing into bed with us. I would be okay with this, but during the week, my alarm goes off at 5:45am and she wakes up then off and on while I get ready. And Friday night she climbed into our bed at 4:00am. And last night at 3:00am and wanted to chat. I know, I should really walk her back into her room when she does it, but it is SO easy just to let her climb into bed. Especially after the past few nights we have had with Audrey.

- The test? Oh right! Thanks for all the well wishes and tips. I used as many "educational jargon" as I could in the essays. I actually thought the essays were easy. The multiple choice were hard. I will find out in 4 weeks...you will be the first to know.

- Our block party was fun. I know you guys want to live on my street as we had catered food (roasted pig, I do live in North Carolina), live music (yes, you read that right), bounce houses and water slides. My kids were cooked when it was done.

The food...

The street...

The music (it was two guys who sang cover songs)...

Ray, Audrey and our favorite neighbor Dave.

Ashley and her best friend Hayden.

Definitely jealous...I want to move down their soooo badly! Glad it was a good time!

I hope Audrey is feeling better, and the bed thing with Ashley, well...we're so guilty of that ourselves :)

Looks like a great time! I bet your glad the test is over. Kaylie used to try to come and sneak in my bed and I just came up with the rule that if the sun was up, she could stay, otherwise, back to her bed. But, that was when she was an only child and I wasn't getting up with a sick toddler. Hope Audrey gets back on to a sleeping schedule soon.

That looked like a lot of fun. The pig on the grills kind of creeps me out but I guess that's a NC thing.

That looks like so much fun! I'm jealous and the houses in my neighborhood look like shoeboxes compared to yours!

The girls both still climb into our beds many nights. I just like my sleep and bed to much to get up and walk them back...

Now it's my turn to be jealous. You live on a really cool street. Looks like you all had a real blast.
Hope Audrey is feeling better today. When they are teething, it affects everything, she might have an ear infection, Marissa had one every other month until she turned one, and then after she got her molars they stopped.

Wow, I do want to come live in your neighborhood!

Not only is it gorgeous (oh how I miss those southern style homes) but it looks like ya'll had a lot of fun! You guys know how to do it right!

The roasted pig though....kinda creepy.....

Glad to hear that Audrey is feeling a little better. Whenever Isaac is cranky and feverish, it's almost ALWAYS an ear infection.

Keep us posted on the test results! And on Audrey's appointment. And I do the same thing with Keven Jr. when he comes wandering into our room in the wee hours of the morning, don't feel bad!!!

I do appreciate your good wishes and hopefully I will be okay in a day or two.

You have a wonderful blog and so very interesting too. I do agree - ear infection - is often overlooked. Hope your daughter is okay.

Every good wishes and hope you will pop by my blog - anytime.

Ah, that looks like so much fun! We don't have a neighborhood (no sidewalks, no kids, etc...). I'm jealous.

what a charming neighborhood!

I hope that Audrey gets all better!

and I know what you mean about how much easier it is to just give in! when Jai wakes up at night, I should let him cry it out- instead I roll over and shove a ninny in his mouth, so that I can go back to sleep.

and I complain that my 9 month old wakes up *at least* 4 times a night.

Man, I wish we lived on a neighborhood street. WE have crazy Charlotte, and recently got rid of Floyd, the crazy poopin' man. Someday we'll have a new house.

Street party? That looks awesome! No one in our neighborhood cares to much about each other I think. I'm going to work on changing that this summer. You've inspired me!

How is Audrey????? Did she go to the ENT yet?

Tigger wakes me up every Sat and Sun at 0530. I understand. It is easier to let him climb in. He slept today until 0645. Whoot!

4 weeks until test results. yuck.
