Thanks...

Thanks for all the great comments and emails yesterday. You guys are great and definitely lifted my spirits when I felt like I couldn't watch the TV anymore or listen to the radio.

I watched the convocation at my desk at work and was luckily interrupted by a phone call from CPA Mom, otherwise I probably would have been a sobbing mess at work, and that would not have been good.

Friday has been deemed "Orange and Maroon" day. Hokies and non-Hokies alike are asked to join the Virginia Tech family and wear our school colors in support of those families who had loved ones who died.

I am also a huge sports fan...seeing this on the morning news this morning brought tears to my eyes...

I'll be wearing maroon and orange on Friday in support of VaTech for you and for those families who lost loved ones....

My sister called me and told me about the Washington Senators, she posted about it too.

I still can't believe that this happened, but I find it truly amazing that the Hokie community has pulled together in the way that they have to move on. It's inspriring to say the least.

It hard to believe that peaceful little blacksburg will now be in the history books as the worst shooting massacre in US history. I have my VT Flag raised high at home and will be decked out in orange and maroon on Friday. I feel even prouder to be a HOKIE today then ever before. LET GO HOKIES!!!!!

I'll be wearing the colors, too..and, check it...so will my daughter :)

It's so sad and the more I watch the coverage of it, the more my gut hurts and my heart aches.

Did the whole MLB wear Tech hats or just the Nationals? I didn't get to watch the news last night as I was traveling. And this morning I had to turn it off - it was too much to watch.

I will wear some maroon and orange to support VT also.

I hope that it helps, in some small way, the students, families and faculty of VT, to know that the nation is mourning with them.

Oh my! I haven't seen that! How touching!

I love the Hokie ribbon icon on your sidebar - I copied it and pasted it at my place.

The public libraries in my town are handing out orange and maroon ribbons to EVERYONE. Everywhere I go, the grocery store, shops, schools - EVERYONE is wearing a ribbon! UVa grads, JMU grads - EVERYONE.

It is touching.

I'll be home in Penn State Territory this weekend for the funeral of one of the murdered who was a friend of mine from high school. We have our huge blue and white game this weekend and we will all be wearing maroon and orange. God bless!

I'm so sorry to hear of the tragedy at Virginia Tech. It is sicking to say the least! I can't understand how someone could be so angry and have such hatred to go on such a shooting spree! It kills and saddens me. My heart goes out to all the families affected and to everyone else who is affected. They will definitely be in my prayers!
