Crazy Roommates

A few people have asked about my poor cat I had in college and her visit to the freezer in the townhouse I was living in.

It was my junior year of college, and I lived with three other girls in a townhouse. For those of you who know Virginia Tech, it was the Pheasant Run townhouses. Anyways, my roommates:

1. Lisa - nymphomaniac, striped for money at frat parties, was extremely smart, last I heard she was still waiting tables at Tech.

2. Amy B. - the bisexual one. Nuff said.

3. Amy C. - Little Amy, from a really small town in New Jersey, prior to living with us had never kissed a boy, had a job, driven a car, or boiled water.

Needless to say, it was interesting beyond the fact that there were three Amy's living under one roof. As I said, it was my junior year in college and the hardest year in the accounting program. I was studying a ton and working part time and breaking up with my long time boyfriend from high school. A lot was going on with me. They were all in their senior year and goofy off and having fun. Nothing wrong with that except their version of having fun was a little different than mine.

Exhibit A: My poor cat Cannoli was stuck in the freezer by Amy B. to see what it would do. Apparently, she liked to hurt animals. And I will tell you, it will meowed it's little head off. The following weekend, Cannoli went to live with my Mom.

Exhibit B: Little Amy was in the half bathroom and Lisa and Amy B. duct-taped the door shut except for the bottom and used a hair dryer to blow baby powder into the bathroom. I still to this day have no idea why.

Exhibit C: I like my stuff. I used to be really possessive about my stuff (had issues my freshman year with my roommate wearing all my clothes, that's a whole other story...). I have gotten better. Anyways, routinely they would do things to stuff in my room like hang clothes from the ceiling and mess with my alphabetized CD collection (don't make fun.of.me).

Exhibit D: On more than one occasion, I would come home to some boy crashed out in MY BED.

Exhibit E: Dumbasses Lisa and Amy B. thought they would teach Amy C. to drive a car at night to pick them up from a frat party. Needless to say, she wrecked Amy B.'s car.

That's all I remember for now. I am sure there is more, I just may have blocked it all out.

They sound like a bunch of winners. Poor cat--that's wrong.

I am NOT making fun of your cd's being alphabetized. Mine are. Both in my house AND my car. MY DVD's are, too :)

Holy cow! I can't believe there are actually people in this world like that...and that go to college! I totally feel for you!

I'm also very possessive about my stuff (and working on it) so I would have been totally ticked off if people had touched it as well.

Which is why I hated college roommates. Similar stuff.

And my CDs - they are in alphabetical order too. Which is why we are BFF though. Rock on.

....and don't forget our road trip with them to New Orleans for the 1995 Sugar Bowl (Hokies beat the Longhorns!)....That was over 800 miles and over 12 hours in a car with them....

Fun times!

(Let's also not relive my drunkeness and desire to swim in the Mississippi River at 1am!!!)

Wow, the cat girl sounds horrible :( I'm so distressed about that! But the duct taping was hysterical... you can definitely say that they were creative :)

Your poor cat! I would guess you don't keep in touch with those gals anymore?! : )

I think I would have moved out! People do strange things in college. (I'm sure we all have our own story or two to tell.) But, geez! These girls were a little over the top.

About that strange boy sleeping in your bed... How'd you get him up? I would have dumped ice cubes on him or something. I'm so picky about my bed, pillows, etc.

Wow, I thought my uni days had experiences.

I certainly could not compete with your roomates!!

How long did you have to endure them?

Awesome stories. So glad you sent your cat to live with your mom. One of my college friends had a roommate who killed her fish. She told her, "I feel pain. Something must die." That rooming situation didn't last long.

College stories are the best. Never have I acted more like an ass, and thought it to be the funniest thing ever.

Poor cat! That's just mean.

My CD's are alphabetized, as are my DVD's. But hubby keeps messing them up. Damn him! In fact, before I broke my spice cabinet, I had all my spices alphabetized. Feel better now?

My roommate used to hate cold ketchup. so we had to steal those little packets where ever we went so that she didn't have to refrigerate a big bottle. She always straightened them out and stacked them neatly in the container. I would occasionally just shake the hell out of it and see what she'd do. Some people just do stupid shit like that. Luckily I outgrew it.

But I never put anyone's cat in the freezer. That's just wrong.

How anyone can do that to a cat - baffled me. Poor Cannoli!

Your poor cat!

And I remember Nupher (that is if my memory isn't mistaking me). I also remember Michelle C and that boyfriend you speak of, fun time, fun times.

Do you talk to them at all anymore?

So the second week of my freshman year, I came back to find out that my roomate had gotton drunk with another one of her sorority pledges, her friend had slept in my bed (and peed all over it) and also peed in the trashcan. In addition to that, my roomate thought it was funny to put pictures of Satan over my bed since she knew I was a baptist because evidently that was the "thing" to do? Needless to say, we didn't quite mesh.

What's wrong w/alphabetized CDs? My spice drawer is, too;).

My roommates were soooo boring I've got no stories to tell. Well, except that time when......

Catsicles? Isn't that against the law?

If my cd's were in any kind of order I might be able to find them when I want.....
crazy roomates. The only roomate I have ever had was my sister or brother as a kid and now my hubby!
