Fun Monday

This week's Fun Monday is brought to us by Joy at A Spot of T. Her challenge? Show everyone your kitchen, where most people spend a lot of time eating, cooking, or just hanging out. Our kitchen overlooks the family room, and we tend to always be doing dishes. And I did not clean my kitchen prior to the picture taking, so have fun making fun of my dirty kitchen...

The island that collects stuff when we are not looking (and that is NOT MY PREPARATION H on the counter)...

This oven is really, really cool...see that drawer at the bottom? It is actually another oven, not just a warming drawer....

Go Hokies!

The sink where the sippy cups mulitply...

A stash to keep Audrey occupied so I can cook dinner...

A different view...

Really long counter that I have no clue what to do with sometimes...

More Go Hokies!

Go visit Joy for more participants...and make sure you check back later this week for a contest...

Love the kitchen!! Morgan would have fun in there given there's a cabinet just for little people (we have one in our kitchen and in each bathroom :) ).

I love your kitchen! I love the cabinet color and the knobs on them. I have a really long counter that I don't know what to do with as well!

And I'm thinking maybe it's our sink brand or something but our sippy cups multiply by at least 2 every hour in our sink as well. I swear we have 50 of them and never any in the cupboard :)

Beautiful kitchen - love the counter tops and cupboards!

(my long counter top just ends up collecting junk)

May I have your counter tops please?

Your long counter looks great for entertaining - bar area or buffet area.

I have kitchen envy now. Marble countertops? Dark wood cabinets? Hardwood Floor?

Wow so much counter space! I love how it's so open and I love the cupboard with toys in it for the little one. Genius! Why didn't I think of that all those years ago when I had little ones.

Counter tops are made for collecting things but they are so useful if you are preparing a lot of food. Lovely idea to have a toy cupboard in the kitchen to keep the littles ones occupied.

I'm lovin' your oven. (File that under things that sound nasty, but really aren't.) What kind is it? I'm oven-shopping next!

I'd love to have enough cupboard space to have a toy stash! Very smart.

So who's PREPARATION H is it?!

I love your kitchen, it's similar to mine. Well not really but sort of in the aspect that it looks over the family room. I love that the most....

How do I get in on this Fun Monday thing? Any idea?

You have a beautiful kitchen Amy!Love your counter tops! As much as I love my tile floors, I really like your hardwood floors.
Interesting wine holder.
What a great idea to have a cupboard full of things for the kids to keep them occupied. I'm going to have to do this! :)

Your kitchen is lovely, and I love that you didn't clean up for the shots. Show it like it is! It's not that messy actually! ;-)

By the way, I have tile/backsplash envy...sigh

Thanks for stopping by mine earlier!

Your oven is beautiful and a two-in-one oven to boot. I remember the days when the children played in the kitchen cabinets. Those are very fond memories.

Your kitchen is awesome! I love the holie wine that was funny and then the toy stash.....it makes so much sense. I would feel so obligated to cook something very tasty in that kitchen.

I am jealous! I love your kitchen, it's so spacious and marbley (is that a word)!!!

It also is sort of like mine, there are baby shoes and, oh my, the sippy cups!

Who does the Preparation H belong to??

I love your countertops! I do NOT even want to know what the prep-h is doing in the kitchen. :)

Love the kitchen. Can't ever have enough counter space. I made sure of it when we did our remodel.

Is having a give-away at my blog, it's a blog-anniversary!

I love your secret stash. When my daughter was an infant I would put her in the pumpkin seat and set it in the sink when I cooked. She would just coo and play. As she got older she played in the tupperware. Those are good memories.

You have a beautiful kitchen. I love it. I never would have noticed the Preparation H if you hadn't pointed it out!

I'm a Hokies fan too! I have two brothers who were attending VT. Both finished this spring. I notice Hokie colors on your blog too- so you must be a pretty big fan!

Love it!! Would kill for that much counter space... And cabinet space... And so totally impressed with the second over - would have fursure thought it was a warming drawer had you not pointed it out.

And lastly, am so impressed that you didn't take the Preparation H off the counter behind snapping the picture. I soo would have.

Hmmmm, I noticed the OPEN box of Preperation H, lol. S C A R Y ;).

GREAT kitchen, though. Give me a long counter and I'll fill it with something. My kitchen was totally clean for Fun Monday--1) a gift for my neat freak hubby and 2) because we began a renovation this week and it HAD to be clean.

Looking at all your cabinets, I thought, "Can you ever have too many?" I don't think so.

p.s. loved those floors, too :)
