Fun Monday

Swampwitch at Anecdotes, Antidotes, & Anodes is hosting this week...her challenge is to post pictures of bookshelves and where we store stuff....here ya go....

My side of the bed...

Ray's side...

That is really all the books we have, we tend to not keep stuff. I read books and then pass them along to friends and family...

Since we do not have a basement and we like to keep cars in our garage, our storage is all in the attic...

It's mostly kids' stuff that we are keeping for some unknown reason. Plus, we had a basement in our house in Virginia, and most of what was in the basement there is now in our attic.

Enjoy!! Go visit Swampy (and tell her Happy Belated Birthday) for more participants...

Goodness, I'd be ashamed to show what my attic looks like! Yours looks so neat and tidy compared to mine! :)

I don't have an attic. That's my excuse as to why your stuff is so much neater than mine :)

I don't have an attic or a basement but a very messy garage that makes your attic look very gorganized......

You could make a nice room out of that attic.

Once upon a time, I had a lot of books. Now? I borrow them from the library or pass along to friends/family, too. Less clutter. Which means more room for shoes :)

Attics are awesome. I've gotta plank mine.

You keep cars in your garage? Wow odd...

(Hey, I think I had the same castle little tykes thing in one of those pictures. I sold it in the garage sale.)

I bet HP wishes I only had those few books. I have an entire library.

Hey, we like to keep cars in our garage also! The similarities keep coming! : )

I'm glad I didn't show my attic; I have the contents of my daughter's flat stored there for the last 6 yrs when she went to live in the states. Actually come to think of it it might be tidier than my cellar.!!

that's good that you pass stuff along and don't hang on to it. I am so bad about that.

I'm glad I didn't take part in this weeks Fun Monday as I would be super embarrassed to display all of the crap I have in 'storage'.

Plain and simple, I'm a packrat and so is Keven!

Your attic looks really nice and neat, compared to my shed! All my books are stored waiting for a bookshelf to showcase.

Hope you are having a good Monday!

THankfully, I don't have an attic or a basement..otherwise it would be filled with nothing but JUNK!! Your nights stands are nice and tidy..mine on the other hand have so much crap on them....

I can't show you mine.

I remember my parents attic was full of old magazines. They would have been worth lotza money now.

I saw a new word in your comments: gorganized. I think we all need to be more this way. (:

I would love to have an attic. But then again, we would probably just fill it with junk...

It's been waaay too hot to go in our attic...it's messy in a very organized way (take my word for it ;) ).

We have tons of books, only a portion of ours were photographed for today...the funny thing about that, though, is something I remember Seinfeld saying... He was mocking people who had full bookshelves by saying people like that treat their books like little trophies...proudly displaying them (he was MUCH funnier, but it's been years since I read it, so this paraphrase is the best I can do). Your minimalist approach to keeping books reminded me of that.

ugh...p.s...here's a link to my typepad blog, I'm leaving the comment (b/c I have to) in Blogger :).

That attic would make a fantastic playroom. Or a craft room, which is all I think about, since I really, really, really want my own space.
