Nine Years....and Counting

Nine years ago, Ray and I were married in front of 150 in a Baptist church in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Honestly, I don't remember much of the ceremony. I do remember being surrounded by friends and family and the reception being the best it could be. We danced and sang and danced and laughed.

And then I fell asleep in the limo ride to the hotel.

I know, pathetic wife I am.

No gifts of pottery or leather are being given today. Ray did get a new laptop which takes care of any gifts we were going to get each other. Instead, most likely this will be like any other day, work, home with the kids for dinner, getting ready for the next day.

Except today I am reminded that I married my best friend, who has also turned out to be the best father any one could wish for...

Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart...

Very, very sweet! Your anniversary sounds a lot like ours does :) It's hard when you have kids to do anything extra to celebrate. I hope you guys have at least a couple of minutes for yourselves today!

Happy Anniversary Amy & Ray! I don't remember a lot of the day either. I don't remember a lot of my wedding day and that was only 5 1/2 years ago! I do remember that it was a very fun day and that I was honored to stand up as one of your bridesmaids. I am pretty sure that I was one of the handful of people that stayed until the very end and I think that we all sat down and ate all your left over wedding cake. However, that is a vauge memory. Anyway, have a happy day and just think....only 365 days until you renew your vows at Disney.....if you still plan to do that on your 10 year anniversary!

See, you should have told me, mine was yesterday and we could DOUBLE DATE, except for that pesky logistical problem of living 1000 miles apart.

Hard to believe that was 9 years ago...and actually...I remember a lot of that day somehow...guess I could hold my liquor then. Hah!

Nothing like golf, hot dogs, and then B52's with Ed and moonshine under the table.

Finally...so much for your cake...it ended up flying through the air. Oh what a night! LOL
