Payback's a Bitch

Not sure how well you can see in this picture, but Audrey was bitten at school last Friday. Am I pissed? Well, honestly no. Why? Monday - she bit TWO kids, Tuesday - just one. Her teachers and I are trying to thwart the biting by attaching a teething ring to her shirt with a pacifier holder. When they see her start to bite, they will offer her that and hopefully someday soon she will do it on her own. I have ordered some books on Amazon to donate to her class in hopes they will help as well. I think what may be causing the extra biting this week (yes, we do feed our children) is that her favorite teacher whom she calls "Nana" is out this week. So maybe she's just extra pissed...

I know I have promised a contest this week, and hopefully tomorrow I can do it. I need to scan a photo in for it, and the scanner only works with Ray's laptop which is now in computer heaven. It completely died on Tuesday leaving Ray searching all over the greater Raleigh area for a replacement laptop. Happy Father's Day, Happy Anniversary, Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas....hopefully he can get his new laptop loaded with the correct software and I can download away...until then, look at the cool gift I received in the mail last Friday....
On the envelope it said congrats on passing the Praxis!!
The magnet is hanging up at work...hehehe....
My scrapbooking room smells lovely. Thanks so much Julie!!

Maybe now that she has been bitten, the biting will slow down... we can always hope!

That is a serious bite mark. I hope the teething thing works. The good thing about biting, is it doesn't last for long - it's really a pretty short phase - just a painful one.

I thought the magnet was pretty appropriate since I think I read somewhere you can't live without your coffee!

I'm sure the biting phase will pass quite soon but it's no fun for anyone while it lasts.
How lovely to get a pressie that's a cool magnet!

Hope Ray is able to find a new laptop!

There's so much to be said about familiarity. With her teacher gone, she's feeling the loss and frustration of her favorite teacher. I agree, the biting phase will pass, and once she's felt it and she'll not like it one bit!
Hope Ray finds a new laptop!

Man, I feel you on the biting!

Isaac got bit quite a lot in his class (all because of one kid who thankfully isn't there anymore) and I was so afriad that Isaac was going to start biting as well. Luckily he only bit his brother at home, which still sucked but he never did it to another kid at daycare. It sounds like you've taken measures to prevent Audrey from biting, I hope it works. And maybe now that she's gotten bit, she'll stop - it's such a terrible phase!

Nice gift from Julie, it was well worth it!

I am so very glad that we don't have to worry with biting, but I like the idea of the teether attached to Audrey! I would never have thought of that. I hope it helps!

Ouch - the bite must have been hard for it to show a mark.
Someone told me pickles work if she's still teething though I have not tried it.

What cool gifts you got!! :-)

At first I was looking at the knee but then I saw the mouth mark right near the elbow.... ouch! At least she knows she is hurting people when she bites...
I hope the books help..... Ray gets all the cool new toys first! LOL

Sorry I've been MIA...oh biting was my biggest and ugliest fear when Kyle was little..now I worry about Casey...although she just seems to be a major PITA when she's teething rather than biting anyone.

Congrats on the Praxis!

Much love to you and yours..I promise to keep up..now that I'm getting some sleep.

Ouch--poor baby!! But, like someone else said, maybe now that she's had a taste of her own medicine, she'll stop biting others?

Julie is so cool! I'm lame. I didn't think to send you a congratulations gift myself. I'm sorry.

What does the magnet say?

Biting does stink. What books did you order? My kids love No Biting, Horrible Crocodile.

That stinks on the laptop. Did he lose anything valuable?
