Friday Pictures - It's Been a Long Week

I never thought Friday would get here. I thought the week would go on forever, kind of like a really bad movie. But it's here, and there was much rejoicing...

It's FINALLY raining in Raleigh. But according to the news this morning? This rain did nothing for our drought.
Ray has worked late the past two nights. This is what Mommy lets them do at bedtime...watch a little tv in my bed...basically because I couldn't get the tv in the playroom to work. Cause it really isn't fun keeping Ashley from jumping on the bed and squashing her sister or watching Audrey catapult herself across my bed coming within inches of falling off the side...
But they love it.
I think Ashley has the misconceived notion that she is going to spend ALL night in my bed.
Daddy just called. Audrey obviously wants to call him back. That and call Papa.

What they are watching...

I had a brilliant idea last night to make Ree's Oatmeal Crispies. I took out the pecans cause of allergies and replaced them with chocolate chips. These cookies? Yummy. Thank goodness Ray didn't like them (the oatmeal for goodness sakes, he can't get past the fact they have oatmeal in them).

The theme of the week.

The recipe made a huge batch, so half of it is in the fridge...

And this came in the mail this week. Ray just about peed his pants he's so excited. Anyone to babysit??

I wonder how Spamalot will be in the theatre...the movie was a riot! I'm so glad it's Friday too - and we didn't get enough rain either. Urgh! Drought! We are close to water restrictions.

I will totally babysit :)

I let the kids watch TV in my bed every night before bed. It's like a little tradition now. We get all comfy and cozy and watch either Berenstein Bears or Mr. Rogers.

Morgan watches tv every night before bed--usually Jack's Big Music Show or Little Einstein's.

The cookies look awesome!!

I'll babysit---what time should I be there so I can leave about 14 or 15 hours ahead of schedule :)

Ummm, I'm busy that night! : )

Now the trick will be to not loose those tickets in the next 7 months!

I don't even work from home and I'm glad it's Friday, lol.

Pencil me in for babysitting duties!! I'm free in April :)

Why is it all men love Monty Python? My dad, husband and sons. . .

Anyway, the girls could have a little vacation in Wisconsin in April, snow should be melted and it should be a nice time for the trails. :)

It was a long week around here too. I have a whole lot of NOTHING planned for the weekend, my girls watch a little cartoons after their bath at night too. It's a good wind down.

I am also thankful that today is Friday...I couldn't wait for it, I know it will go by too quickly though. Love your pictures...your girls are so beautiful! You are a fun mo to let them hang out in bed for a bit--I'd never get my daughter out of my bed though. Cookies look healthy and yummy!

Monty Python in the theatre? I have admittedly only seen "holy grail" a few times. but I laughed my ass off the whole time. i introduced my hubby to it and he thought it was hilarious too. it was a big kick on the honors floor at college. so count yourself one of the few. i had a brother who watched it and didnt find it funny at all. needless to say we're from different universes, let alone planets.. "answer me these questions three" "what is your quest?"..he he

The kids watch TV with us at night too. Some nights my husband doesn't mind, but the nights he's exhausted they watch in the living room.
Those cookies are looking especially yummy!

And the girls are cute as ever. Lindsay likes to call her dad and papa on the phone too. She walks around the house saying "HELLO".

Have a fantastic weekend.

Oh spamalot should be fun! My kids don't really watch tv much so a book or playdough time before bed is what they love!

I saw spamalot last fall when i went to NYC with the high school marching band. it is brilliant.

It is so fun to have something to look forward too. The girls are so cute! They had a good time with you. I bet your ready for them to have a little "Daddy" time.:)

Nuh UH! I want to go see Spamalot! How did you get tickets? Where do you get tickets...

Speaking of children and night time ...Caleb has started sleeping on the floor. I have no idea why. He wants to sleep beside his bed-not on it. During his nap yesterday? I found that he had relocated from the bed to his fuzzy blue chair, where he fell asleep sitting up. I do not understand that child...

I would gladly give you some of our rain if it could be done!!
I tend to let the kids do that when daddy is late or not coming home that night also. The girls sure look happy about it.
The cookies look great, I usually make my chocolate chip cookies with oatmeal in them so my kids are used to it. My dad tought me that way when I was younger.

I'll babysit for you... I have no idea what that show is though. :)

Got any of those cookies left? They look good! :)

Keven Jr. watches TV in my bed all the time. Isaac has no desire to sit still long enough to even gaze at it....

Can't figure that one out yet, but whatever.

The girls are cute of course and the cookies look great! And Spamalot? What did I miss?
