Dip....

Good guesses yesterday on what Ashley likes to dip her french fries in. No one guessed it right though (and no, not even Ray, but to his defense he wasn't at dinner the night this started).

She likes to dip her fries in strawberry jelly. Seriously. And when I say dip, I really mean drown. She loves jelly. Every Tuesday I bring her a jelly sandwich to have in the car on the way home from school since she has soccer. She can just do without the peanut butter (which she still actually hasn't had, she has had soy nut butter, Ray is allergic to peanuts and I am afraid to give her peanut butter).

And no, sleep isn't any better in our house. Audrey is cutting her two year molars a few months early, and it isn't fun. It took both Ray and I to calm her down at 1:00 in the morning. And speaking of teeth, I am not sure I have told everyone about Ray's latest and greatest.

Ray has no enamel on his teeth, and they are slowly going away. He has had issues with his teeth his whole life. Most of his molars are crowned and trips to the dentist for him mean a lot of pain.

In order to correct his teeth, he needs some serious work. To the tune of $20,000. Yes, I said $20,000. The amount of my getting a master's degree or the amount of a decent new car. Insurance might cover a couple hundred dollars. But Ray is getting to the point he needs this done or I will be spoon feeding him creamed corn and mashed potatoes.

I am hoping the girls' have inherited my teeth genes...

Interesting on the jelly. I may have to try that :)

Sorry there's not much sleeping going on in your house. I SO feel your pain!!

Twenty grand?! Wow. Insurance won't cover it because why?

Twenty grand. Ouch.

I had to laugh at the spoon feeding comment! I think you guys should really talk with the insurance company about this stuff for Ray. I mean, yes, the veneers are considered cosmetic, but it's not like he really has an option at this point. I'm sure they won't pay for the whole thing, but considering it is a necessity rather than a luxury, they may help a tad bit more?!?!?

Definitely talk to Insurance if they're affecting his cost of living. Why do you have to spoon feed him? Can't he suck it up in a straw?

Laughing at Sabrina!

That's a lot of money for Rays teeth, I hope you manage to get something sorted!

Oh. My. God. $20K for dental work?
Insurance sucks. Maybe Ray should apply for one of those extreme makeover shows - you can get them to pay for it! : )

I'll have to send you some of my homemade strawberry jam then.

I have no words. I'm still blinking over the $20k. OMG. I am in the wrong profession.

Oh my strawberry jam? I bet you get weirder (is that a word?) looks than I do when we request mustard for my son's fries.

I had major enamel trouble on my baby teeth and had to have caps on them but luckily my adult teeth don't suffer the same issues. Wow!

My girls dip their chicken nuggets in banana/berry babyfood. They actually spoon it right onto the chicken nuggets. They are insane.

Good luck with Ray. That SUCKS.

Wow- jelly, huh? I NEVER would have guessed that...but maybe I should try it. So sorry to hear about the sleep issue...I feel your pain! Tired is my middle name...or is it exhausted? Holy hell...20 grand? Yikes! Ouch! I hope you can come up with something there...I think my hubby would just have to get wooden teeth like in the old days...no way we could cover that.
