Conversations with Ashley

Ashley is driving me nuts lately (I mean that in the nicest way, really I do). She keeps repeating herself to us when she asks us something. Like this:

"Mom, can I have some apple juice?"
"Sure, sweetie, give me a sec, I will get it for you."
"Mom, can I really have some apple juice?"
"I said yes Ashley..."
"Mom, apple juice please!"
"Seriously, Ashley, I AM GETTING IT."

Drives me insane.

She has also been telling us lately that she wishes she were me or Ray. We ask her why, and she doesn't really answer, but I am thinking it has something to do with the fact we get a bigger piece of cake....

And in the car this past weekend, she told me she wanted to be a Mommy when she grew up. I held back from telling her she still had to go to college when she informed me she would have a baby.

"A girl baby or a boy baby?"
"I am going to have a girl."
"What will you name her?"
"Sprinkles."

It always comes back to cake....

Go here and check out what's new at Lookit....

My younger daughter is doing the same thing with repeating. Drives me nuts. She will also repeat the same story over and over and over and over. I like the name sprinkles (hee hee)

The repeat askings....the bane of a mother's existence. Makes me want to choke the little suckers (and I mean that in the nicest way).

A friend of mine said her daughter, who is Abby, said she would prefer to be named "Sparkly Phone". Of course, she had me make her a shirt with a crystal phone on it for Christmas.

They're funny, aren't they??

Hahaha! Sprinkles!

KJ has been telling me that he wants to grow up and have eighteen big kids and two babies. I think it's because he just learned his addition facts to twenty. ;o)

Sprinkles. That's a cool name - for a girl!

What a creative mind that Ashley has. She sounds like a sweetheart.

And Keven Jr. does the repeating thing. Drives me batty!

Oh that Sprinkles one made me laugh. I think it would be a better name for a Little Pony. Sad thing is, there probably is a child out there with that name.

Sprinkles.... cute name. My middle son does the same, and he's almost 10!!

Enjoy it while it lasts. It won't be a few years that she'll be telling you to drop her off two blocks from school so her friends won't see the hat you are wearing.

Hmmm, Sprinkles,eh? I tried telling my 8 year old that I was going to name her Fudge the other day. She didn't buy it. Not even for a second.

OMG, I love kids!!! Hey, Sprinkles is unique, right?

Kaylie says she is not having a baby because it will hurt. Ok then.

Madison still does the questions thing, where she keeps asking till I get up and do it now!
Funny about the cake. Will you love your little grandaughter Sprinkles name?

Sprinkles: love it. You'll have to remind her of that decision at some opportune time -- like when she's 16 and her boyfriend is visiting.
