Giving Thanks this Holiday Season

I am always appreciative for friends and family, but this time of year makes me extra sappy. And I love being sappy. Plus, I have a lot of family and some really good friends to be appreciative of, as well as being thankful for some blogging help I have gotten recently.

Edie - For going with me to see movies like August Rush. We went last night, and it was a great movie for a music/band geek like me. Plus, I really like to cry at movies (I realize I am a freak), so even more of a bonus. As I have said many times, this move to North Carolina was made a ton easier having great neighbors and friends like Edie and her family. Which, on a side note, Ashley loves her daughter Hayden. Last night, I made breakfast for dinner, and Ashley kept insisting that she call Hayden and tell her what we were having for dinner. It was pretty cute.

Jennifer at Jippy Jabber - She is one of the first people I started reading when I started this whole blogging mess, and I still catch up on her blog at least once a week, even if I am a slacker and don't comment. Last week, she sent my girls a wonderful package full of Disney stuff. One thing was a huge pack of Princess crayons, and both girls play with them all the time. I can't thank her enough...she has so much on her plate, yet she took time out to send a package out.

Revka at RS Designs - I failed to mention like I should have last week that I found a fellow North Carolinian to do the blog design on mine and SJ's review blog. Not only was she affordable, she was fast and very easy to work with. If you are even remotely thinking of redesigning your blog...see her.

So who are you most thankful for (outside of your immediate family)?

As odd as it may sound? I'm thankful for all the friends I've made through blogging.

Awwww! Thanks for thinking of me! :) I have so much to be thankful for, I don't even know where to start. I was actually thinking that same thing on the way to work this morning. I've been a little down lately, but when I stopped to think about it, I really have so much to be thankful for. Even though some things I desire so badly are out of my reach right now, I should still be happy because of the great things I have in my life. (I know you know what I'm talking about.)

I'm extremely thankful that you and Ray moved in across the street. We have become such good friends and I'm truly grateful for that. I'm thankful for my happy marriage. I'm thankful that I was blessed with such a daughter, who can be trying at times, is an awesome human being whom I love more than life itself. I'm grateful for my job and my way of life. I'm grateful for my parents, my sister, her husband and all of my beatiful friends.

Ok, I'll stop blabbing now. I'm getting emotional... ;)

I too am thankful for this blogging thing and seeing families/women who are at similar places in their lives with similar issues and feeling so "not crazy" and alone.

I am also thankful for a job that is flexible and understanding of family life and a daycare provider that I trust implicitly.

So the movie would suit my fancy too, eh? I'm going to have to check it out.

I'm thankful for my friends - those that I've met/made in real life and those I've found/made through blogging.

And I'm thankful that YOU got me inspired enough to join the blogging world, my family loves it and I love it too.

And too, I thank Revka for designing our blog - it's fantastic!

i had something i was thankful for every day in November. so I'm about thankfulled out. But i would say right now, that my husband left for work, and i can stay at home and plan dinner for him (last night, he was so appreciative of having a salad with his enchiladas.. can you imagine) anyway, i only have to get out to feed the critters and get the mail. i turn on the christmas lights for him just before he gets home, and its so cozy... sigh..

My daughter & I went and saw the movie August Rush last weekend and loved it too. Good movies can be rated PG! I am thankful for my friends in my neighborhood as well as those on line too. We moved to NC almost 3 years ago, and I agree whole heartedly about the great neighbors making it an easy transition.

I have so much to be thankful for - my family, my friends, my work (that I absolutely love!), my blog and the contacts/friends I have made through it.

Thank you very much for the recommendation and the linky love. :0) I really enjoyed creating your design, and I am glad you are both happy with it.

I'm thankful that our move here went fairly well and I made a good friend almost immediately. Especially today when I am sick and she is shuffling my kids around for me.....
