Monday night Ray went to the gym while I put the kids to bed. It sometimes is easier if one of us puts them both to bed instead of me doing one kid and Ray doing the other. They seem to like us reading books to them together.
I read the allotted two books and sent them off to bed. By this time, it was close to 9:00pm and I retreated back to my bedroom to watch Dancing with the Stars. Audrey continued to come out of her room and bring me things - her pillow, her blanket, toys, whatever she could find. I finally convinced her to stay in her room and I finished my show and turned off my lights. I was exhausted from our weekend, and normally one night a week I tend to crash early (if 10:00pm is early). I checked on Ashley who was dead asleep and I peeked in on Audrey who was in her bed, just not asleep yet. I figured I would check on her in a little while to make sure she was covered up. I went to bed and promptly fell asleep.
I woke up at 11:00pm to look down the hall. I saw Audrey crouching down by her bedroom door. Then I notice she had no shirt on, so I got up to help her get dressed and back in bed. Then she stood up and she had absolutely no clothes on, nor a diaper. Little punk got completely buck-naked. So I march her back in her room where she proceeds to tell me she peed on the floor right after I stepped in something wet. Lovely. Not only did she undress herself, she peed on the floor and then very matter-of-factly told me so. Ray came upstairs and helped clean up the pee on the floor while I dressed the little devil and got her back in bed. She finally fell back to sleep.
And when I peeked in on her the next morning before going to work? She was asleep on the floor. Hopefully it didn't smell like pee.

What is it with getting naked...and peeing on the floor...
Hope you still got a good night's sleep!
she certainly makes life interesting, no? :)
What is it with this girl and not wanting to stay in her bed/room and asleep?! How are you not going insane?
This is why I ripped the carpet out of my house. Flooring is so much easier to wipe up kid and pet messes! I don't envy those days. But you are obviously doing a great job, so hang in there and don't let normal kid accidents ruin your mood. This is a precious age!
My oldest (whom I lovingly refer to as Stress 1) loved to do the same - except he was sweet enough to always pee in the corner of the room. Thus ensuring I would not step in it - very thoughtful huh? Unfortunately, when it first began it also meant I had trouble finding where the offensive smell was located, but alas, that's another story for another time.
A friend of mine uses a gate at the bedroom door-strictly for safety in the evening. I always felt like that was a little too "caged animal" for me, but whatever works for ya right?
Good luck and keep your chin up!
She is the little devil. I fear the mischief she and Emily could get into this weekend! : )
Is it terrible that I laughed out loud at this? I am so glad I am not the only one with a toddler who totally has a mind of her own. My daughter took off her nappy and peed on the bedroom floor this weekend. It must be a sign she is ready for the potty.
Alyssa has started trying to take off her clothes all the time too, but, she's still in her crib, so I don't have to worry about that. I hope you were still able to get some good sleep.
oh no! I am so sorry. While mine doesn't pee on the floor- there are still many pee related times that I don't get to sleep. big sigh......
see what happens when you try to relax... the kids say NO WAY Mommy!
glad she finally fell asleep for you
The sleeping naked part I suppose is do-able, but pee'ing on the floor? And what's up with her bringing you stuff?
Sounds all too terribly cute. Except the pee bit.
I am sure I shouldn't be laughing, but I am!
I can just picture one of mine stripping down too. LOL
Hope you still managed to get some rest!
(Hey, it's Heather) Caleb has decided he likes to run around bare naked... and he has peed on the floor too :) But it was on my bathroom floor, next to his potty of course, so I got a bit luckier than you with the carpet!
Oh bless.
The epitomy of motherhood . . .
What a hoot! I know I'm laughing now, but I can just tell myself glad other moms go through this as well hehe.
She's sleep-peeing. My bff growing up did that on the couch when her parents had friends over.
(snif snif) What's that smell?
