Anyone else totally sucked into the College Softball World Series like myself? Pathetic, I know, but I love it. Of course, I loved it that Virginia Tech was in it for a fleeting moment, but I am still watching. Ray of course hates it and groans everytime he sees it on tv. I have to remind him that I sit through enough of Mad Money and that screaming guy that he owes me.
I am back at work, my last week at my current job before starting my new job next week. Clearing stuff out, passing stuff on. Good times. Of course, I will be a nervous wreck on Sunday night before starting my new job.
Last week was good, I enjoyed all the time with the girls, but I think everyone was ready to get back into a routine. Oh, and Audrey is not potty trained. She didn't use the potty once on Thursday or Friday morning, so I abandoned the idea of training her for now. I figure I will try again in a month.
It was nice last week too to take a break from my computer. I only got on to check email and blog briefly, but not being on it for 8 hours a day and then a hour or two at night was nice. I feel refreshed and renewed. Just in time for summer.

Potty training will happen... just give it time!
hope you have a semi-relaxing last week of work
She'll get it when she's ready. Emily can't seem to get the pooping in the potty part down. I don't know how to get her to get that.
Softball was and is still my favorite sport . . . I played many many many years and LOVE it!!! I love watching the softball world series :-)
Potty training . . . sorry :-( I was so lucky with mine with their training . . . Dude was toughest because he had Princess join the family 3 months after he was trained. They both pretty much wanted to do it on their own - with the occasional Junior Mint thrown in as a bribe.
It'll happen . . . know any 1st graders who aren't trained? It'll happen. Hopefully sooner than later :-)
I love softball still to this day, but haven't watched any of it on TV. I probably would though!
And I'm with you on the potty training, I give up with Isaac too. It'll happen I guess when HE is ready. Blah......
Have a great week!
Is it wrong that it makes me feel better that potty training Audrey didn't happen overnight? I have attempted a couple of times to just get Alyssa interested and she could care less!!! I thought maybe I was doing something wrong!
I am sorry to hear your potty training woes. When she is ready , it will work. You might want to try what I used to potty train our son. It is potty training rewards. Our son loved pushing the audio button hearing he is a Big Boy and opening a dooe to find a chocolate treat. He really became involved. He was peeing and pooping in his potty within a week. I know every child is different, but have a look and see if this would work for you. www.pottytrainingrewards.com
I think kids trained quicker before disposables were available. Old saggy soggy cloth diapers were very uncomfortable.
It's just a thought I've had as I've watched my daughters work with their kids. And, then again, maybe I've just forgotten those frustrating times.
