You have heard me whine about it enough...

And tomorrow is the day.

Ashley's first day of kindergarten.

And she doesn't want me to take me to her class in the morning.

Since when do I listen to an almost five year old?

It's tough to see them go that first time but you will get used to it and she will love it !! Wait to cry AFTER you are out of her sight ((HUGS))

Enjoy the moment, the best you can...it is a wonderful milestone.

I'm sure things will go well... I say walk her to the room but say good-bye outside of it. But, tomorrow start letting her off in the way you will do it for the rest of the year (routines need to be established early... ok enough teacher talk from me)

she will do fine... and so will you!

I promise you, in a few weeks this will all be commonplace and you'll be okay.

So will she. :)

Oh how tough :-( I'll be thinking about you!!!

There is no way I won't take my daughter to class on her first day - every year until she graduates - and make her pose for that WONDERFUL first day of school picture ;-)

My son will start 3rd grade this fall . . . he, too, in all his embarrassment, will get his picture taken with his best buddy at the bus stop, with the bus stop in the background, while everyone else waits :-)

Yes, I'm a terrible mother!

Your daughter will be so happy to have you there with her . . . I'm dreading the first day of kindergarten in August :-(

Did you listen to her? How was her first day. I remember W.'s first day. Now he's entering middle school and my other son will be trotting off the kindergarten. The ride starts all over again!
