I am alive.

I am here, I just got caught up yesterday with Ashley going back to school, taking Audrey to an ENT appointment, and just getting back into the swing of things. It felt like the first day of school all over again for Ashley since she was out the whole month of December, and her classroom was recarpeted right before the break, so I had to send back all the stuff she was sent home with (art shirt, nap towel, etc.).

And Ashley woke up at 3:15am Monday morning, and did not go back to sleep. How she made it through the entire day, I have no idea.

Audrey had the tubes in her ears checked. We had run into her ENT (I also worked with him in my previous job) last month, and we mentioned that Audrey had her tubes in for almost two years. He said that is about how long he likes to see them in, and wanted us to come in to get them out.

Well, when I got there, one tube has fallen out, and the other one is on it's way out, so he left it alone. So I handed over my $40 co-pay for pretty much nothing.

And yesterday, I had to turn in my final weekly posting at the local newspaper's website. It will run tomorrow, and I will link it here. Luckily, I get to stay on and write for the site monthly as I will get to review cookbooks for the site. I am so excited!! The editor knows how much I like to cook, and offered me the opportunity. This should be interesting...

At least he didn't take the tube out and give it to you in an "ear-tube fairy" envelope. Yeah, ours did. Gross!

She looks so cute in the chair! I didn't realize they could actually take them out, I thought they had to fall out on their own!

Which I should add, one of Isaac's recently fell out and Keven found it in his ear while he was cleaning it....it's not at all what I expected it to be!

I hope Audrey's ear issues are better soon, with Isaac I think we are in for the long haul.
