Miscellaneous Ashley

I got home a few nights ago and was doing our usual routine – fixing dinner and playing with the kids. Ashley had to go to the potty, so I told her to go to the bathroom. I checked on her to make sure she had made it on the toilet, and went back to check on Audrey who was laying on the couch. She has been rolling a lot lately and I wanted to make sure she didn’t roll off the couch. I hear the following from the bathroom.

“Mommy, come here! I am going to count to three and you better come here. One, two, three, COME HERE!”

I guess I have been counting a lot lately.

She is also still pulling the whole stalling at bedtime routine. Last night after a few rounds of I’m hot and I have to potty, I told her to go to sleep.

“I can’t remember how to go to sleep.”
“You just close your eyes goofball.”
“Oh.”

The other thing I have noticed she says ALL THE TIME is “but.” We will be in the car after picking her and Audrey up, and every other word out of her mouth is but. “But I didn’t sit next to Zachary today.” “But we didn’t have cake today.” Or she will just say “but” and lose her train of thought I guess and then repeat it again. It’s pretty funny.

She sounds like a hoot! I can totally see Silly Girl saying something like "I forgot how to fall asleep" sometime in the near future. Too funny. And too cute!
I'll have to catch up on your blog as soon as I get a chance (which shouldn't be too hard b/c I'm very slow at work right now).
Thanks for your comment/question. It is a question I get a lot (as I'm sure you do too) but one I don't mind at all. I'll answer it in an upcoming post.
