We are supposed to describe a day in the life of ourselves. And make it interesting and funny I suppose, I just don't think my day would be that interesting to you guys, but here goes: (but I am TOTALLY interested in everyone else's days, particularly how the heck do you do it all?)
On a normal working weekday my alarm goes off at 5:50am. I hit snooze once (really shouldn't even do that). Up, in the shower, dressed and then wake up Ray to get ready. Then I either go downstairs and leisurely get ready to go, or wrestle one of the girls if they happen to wake up. Then I am out the door by 6:45am. Ray gets the girls up and dressed and drops them off at school at 8:30am. I normally pull into the employee lot at the hospital I work at by 7:15am (25 miles in 30 minutes, not bad). Then the long walk to my office, and I am starting my day reading blogs working by 7:30am. I work through my lunch so that I can have every other Friday off. And no, that doesn't mean I don't eat, it just means I am stuck to my damn.cave.of.an.office for 9 hours a day. Fun times.
Out the door at 4:30pm, at school to pick up the girls at 5:00. Then we go home, I make dinner while the kids play and we are normally sitting down to eat by 6:00pm. On a normal warm evening, then it's outside to play with friends until about 7:30pm. Wrestle the kids in bed (baths, books, etc) and then I start all my stuff I am currently working on - school, making curtains, studying for the teacher's exam, exercising. Plus throw in a little prepping dinner for the next night and any chores like laundry, and its late before I climb into bed. Oh, and any TV watching like American Idol and Lost.
No, my house isn't immaculate, and sometimes there are ice cream bribes to Ashley to get her butt inside in the evenings, but it's my life. And I love it.

Sounds like a busy day to me! I hit the snooze button so many more then just once its bad.
I should just take a picture of my car, that's where most of my day takes place :)
I remember being a whirling dirvish when my kids were small... and the hubby worked a 24 hour firefighters shift, and I worked 7:30 - 4:30
I think I've blacked out everything and it's all Strawberry shortcake now.
what a busy life! do you find time to relax? whew, enidd is tired reading this :-)
Wow, you get up so early. My alarm goes off at 7:20 and I hate it!
It sounds a lot like mine! I'm so jealous of your gorgeous, North Carolina style house! It just looks so light and airy! And gorgeous!
Sounds pretty busy...good thing every other Friday is an off day, huh?
My alarm goes off at 5:50 and I hit snooze for almost an hour. Then I run around in a frenzy trying to get to work by 8:00. Fun times :)
yay for ice cream bribes. I try so hard to get Ally to eat her supper, because we tell her she can't have any junk food otherwise. My night goes much easier if I she eats so I can bribe her.
The only things in life are ice cream bribes right?
Sounds just like my day!
Three cheers for a future teacher! Way to go! I am amazed/impressed with all you get done, especially getting dinner on the table to efficiently!
You wonder how others do it? My kids bribe me with ice-cream...it usually works.
I'm impressed that you only hit the snooze button once - for me it's about 4 times and then screaming "I'm late".

Sounds a lot like my days and nights. No time to relax, and totally exhausting!
I feel totally inadequate after reading that. How on earth do you do all that????
WOw how do you fit all that in one day?? Dang..I'm tired just reading it!
You pack a lot into your day, I'm glad I no longer have this pressure but I remember it well. Loved the photos.
I am in awe of you. I literally love that you exist and marvel at how wonderful it is, ice cream bribes included! This may not be a compliment but if I imagine my life with no curve balls I like to think I would have lived it just like you do.
Wow! sounds like a hard working mom to me!!
I love what scribbit wrote- That relates very well to me - LOL!!
I also hit snooze about 2 to 3 times-LOL!
Your kids are so stinkin' cute!!!
I love the tv idea outside! My husband would love to do that - but only in Wisconsin is it 70's one day and 20's the next!
Yea for basketball! BOO - that Wisconsin is out in the 2nd round!
