Fun Monday

Today's Fun Monday assignment is to post a recipe. Go to Peppermint Tea to see complete list of participants. I originally got this recipe off of allrecipes.com, but I have adapted it over time. This recipe can make just one chicken boob or 100. As you can see from below, measurements are not necessary! And don't ask me about the name, I have no idea why it's called that.

Anniversary Chicken
Chicken boobs (however many you need to feed your family)
Teriyaki sauce
Ranch Dressing
Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Bacon Bits

Preheat oven to 375.
Put chicken in a baking dish.
Cover chicken in this order: teriyaki sauce, ranch dressing, cheese, bacon bits (however much of each you want)
Bake for 25-35 minutes or until juices run clear.
Enjoy!

Chicken boobs! Are you sure you're not one of my sisters in disguise?

enidd asks if this is a typical american dish? she thinks she'll have a giggle when she moves to san francisco.

Sounds good. I will have to try it. Which means it will come out like crap and I'll be speed dialing for a pizza to be delivered.

Chicken boob...haha! I call them the same thing :)

I totally edited my blog to include your suggestion of using the crockpot for the steak.

I love that you call them chicken boobs!

We read a lot of the same blogs... I'll have to catch up on yours.

ok- I've rambled enough.

BAHA! Chicken boobs!

I was going to buy a turkey breast for Thanksgiving instead of a whole turkey (since it was just the four of us eating) and my daughter proclaimed, loudly, in the Kroger meat department,

"I CAN'T EAT THE BOOBS OF A TURKEY!"

Good times.

Yummy and fattening so it gets filed in my "Once in a Blue Moon" recipe box.

I'm trying very very hard to stick to my WW but this is also a recipe I could totally "lowdown" (as I call it) to reduce points with light ranch, reduced fat cheese, etc.

Chicken boobs!

Ok, I'm an idiot. It took me a minute to figure out what you meant by chicken boobs.

So I am sitting here thinking "Chicken Boobs"??? It took a good 45 seconds before I realized you had a nickname for chicken breasts. Dear lord I need sleep - or caffeine. one or the other. This sounds scrumptious.

I passed over the chicken boob part at first only because that is what we call them. Then is suddenly hit me and I burst out laughing at work. Note to self not a good thing to do in front of a room full of sick pts. they don't like funny.

Now that's my kind of meal, tasty and relatively easy to prepare. Unfortunately I haven't ever seen Ranch dressing down here.
