Hump Day with some Real Randomness

The summer between my junior and senior year in college, I had an office job working for the Federal Government. It was a sweet deal, I was paid well and the work was easy. My best friend in college also had an office job, and every Wednesday we would spend most of the day faxing each other funny cartoons or drawings to celebrate "Hump Day". It helped the time go by fast and gave me something to look forward to on that day smack in the middle of the week.

This Hump Day? Nothing to look forward to. I guess I am just feeling blah. I feel like I have a cold, but I am guessing it actually might be allergies. Since I haven't had allergies before, I don't know though. But Audrey's eczema is flaring right now and her nose is a faucet. Ashley's nose is actually a little runny as well.

It's just one of those days.

And someone Ray tried to help in the real estate business has turned out to be a complete BITCH. And it pisses me off.

Audrey hasn't bitten anymore at school since our meeting. They moved her up to the older toddler class where the toddlers seem to better understand personal space, and she hasn't had one incident.

Ashley has moved up at school and actually moves up again in August to the Pre-K room where she has to wear a uniform. Yup, you read that right, a uniform. Not really sure how that will go over. I guess we will find out next month.

Think my boss would notice if I shut my door and took a nap?

I wore a uniform for 2 years in school, before switching schools. I absolutely loved it. So time-saving. No worries about my mom yelling at me to stay clean. No question about what to wear in the morning. Ashley might be a little young for understanding the benefits, though. I hope it turns out ok for you. Maybe she'll just be happy that she matches all her friends?

(Oh yay! I don't have to use my blogger identity here anymore! happy dance!)

Yeah on no biting!!

I love the idea of uniforms. Tigger will wear one starting in Kindergarten (catholic school) next year. I remember well the angst of not wearing the "right clothes."

I won't tell if you take a nap. I want one too.

think my kid would mind if I closed the door and took a nap? :)

glad the biting has stopped!!! that is great!

If the boss notices the shut door and nap taking, tell him/her it's been researched that those who can take a quick nap on the job are more productive than those who can't. :)

Sounds like you are having a rough day. :(

Glad Audrey has stopped biting. That's terrific news.

Ashley will be fine with the uniform as long as they have one that is a dress! ;)

Oh, and I forgot to say yesterday, CONGRATS ON YOUR A!!

Bug's had to wear a uniform shirt since she was 2 at her preschool. During the summer they can wear what they want. I like it, I don't care if it gets messed up or not :)

Allergies. Ugh.

I enjoyed wearing uniforms - it was easy to get dressed, and it made the mornings much easier for me, and I'm sure it did for my mom too :)

Sounds like our tax dollars paid you well! : )

Hump day sucks. Such a tease - close to the weekend but yet so far.

Glad that the biting has stopped.

Whad kind of uniform does she have to wear next year?

You know my thoughts on the uniform...yuck! Clothes are such an expression, and I never felt like I didn't have the right clothes...it was all about individuality. I'm going too far ahead...she's in freaking preschool...why the uniform???

I look at it as more laundry I'd have to do...right now my daughter has a good two weeks worth of clothes, so I never HAVE to do laundry!

The uniform thing is interesting, but probably has it's benefits. But in pre-school? Seems sort of young, but then again what do I know!

Glad to hear Audrey's hasn't bitten since your meeting. That's excellent news :)

And oh, I'm having one of those days as well...

I am so glad that the biting seems to be under control!!! That's one less thing for you to have to worry about!!!!

Alyssa's eczema has gotten really bad. It was just on her cheek, behind her knees and by her elbows. In the last 4 days it has flared up all over her stomach. Hope you and Audrey are feeling better soon.

There's something to be said for uniforms I think.

Glad to hear there have been no more biting incidents!

That sounds like exactly the thing Audrey needed to be with the older toddlers. So yeah no more biting!

And the uniforms for Ashley may not be bad at least you don't have to worry about trying to figure out what to have her wear everyday.

The only thing I will say is Ray is waaay nice than I would have been. Can you say borderline psycho!?! And a total bitch too.

And say no to uniforms! I think they help strip kids of their identity. I can see how they are good sometimes, but mostly I think they are evil!
