Day 3 of Vacation

The Plan:
Magic Kingdom all day, breakfast with Cinderella in Cinderella's castle, dinner in the room.

What actually happened:
Audrey was up at 6:45am and Ashley was up shortly after. We all got ready and left around 8:00am. It is Little Ones travel time right now in Disney World, and Magic Kingdom is open 1 hour early to guests with preschoolers. So we were in Magic Kingdom by 8:30am and got to ride Cinderella's Carousel with Goofy and Mary Poppins. Plus, a ton of other characters were just walking around and there were very little crowds. Unfortunately, we had breakfast reservations at 8:50, so we didn't get to hang out much.

Audrey was not a fan of the "face" characters - like Cinderella and Snow White. She did fine with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy, but she wasn't too sure about the princesses. Breakfast was good, although Ray wasn't a fan of the food. Ashley enjoyed seeing all the Princesses.

After that, we stayed in Magic Kingdom until about 5:00pm. We were all over the place, just going on rides and taking breaks as needed. The only thing I wanted to do that we didn't was the Haunted Mansion, but we are going back on Thursday. It was cool doing the switch off with Ashley on a few rides. Audrey isn't tall enough for some of them like Goofy's rollercoaster and Splash Mountain. For Goofy's rollercoaster, they let Ashley stay on the ride while Ray and I swapped out. And on Splash Mountain, they let us go through the fast pass line with her after switching out.

Audrey napped in the stroller for about an hour and when she woke up, it rained for about 10 minutes, but we were already under cover and took that time for an ice cream break. As soon as we got back to the hotel, it started raining again. We made dinner in the room and ate, but then the kids started getting wild, so we headed out for a walk. Unfortunately, it was still raining, so we went to the arcade and then back to the room for baths and bed. They were both in bed by 8:00pm...

The Good:
Riding on the carousel sitting with Goofy.
Ashley giggling whenever someone spoke to her.
The really cool Mickey Mouse we had pictures with in Mickey's Toon Town. He wouldn't even let us go without giving the girls and me a kiss.
Ashley on Splash Mountain - she absolutely loved it.

The Bad:
The rain...
I know this isn't really related, but I am typing on Ray's laptop, and I hate it. The stupid shift key is not in the right spot, and it is taking me longer to type than normal...

I'm so glad everyone is having fun and things are going well. I know the rain stinks, but at least you are still able to do most everything and everyone is having a blast! Ashlyn would LOVE seeing the princess but I get that Audrey is a bit young for that. Glad Ashley enjoyed it and is having so much fun.

I agree with the others I am really enjoying the play by play of your trip! Funny she doesn't like the "face" characters. Maddie would still be a little leary of the charachters with masks like Mickey.

Hopefully the weather holds out for you - it's more like summer here than it should be right now with the humidity and rain.

Sounds like you're having a great time!!!

FYI, my daughter is just the opposite - she loves the 'real people' characters (Cinderella, etc.) but freaks at the costumed ones like Mickey and goofy.

Hopefully, the rain won't be there long.

I thought the food at Cinderella's Castle was good. It was different, but good. But, maybe it's the *different* part that Ray doesn't like!!

Wish we were there... sounds like you are having a BLAST!
