Fun Monday and Cat Piss (Boy, that's one hell of a title...)

Today's Fun Monday is by Robin...and she wants to see your favorite pair of shoes.

One guess for my favorite?

Give up? Or hate guessing games as much as I do?

I love flip flops...seriously. I would wear them everywhere if I could. They are comfy, easy to slip on and off. And my favorite flip flops?

My VT ones...(which look like these only much, much dirtier).

Now, onto cat piss...
So Saturday night, unknown to us, we shut a cat in our garage overnight. Which wouldn't have been that big a deal except we have gotten into the habit of not shutting the back doors to the van once we get the kids out (why, I have no idea).

So Ray gets up Saturday morning to a cat crying in our garage. He lets the cat out, checks out the garage and the van, and figures the cat did just hung out in our van all night and didn't pee as he didn't smell anything.

Later that morning we head to church (you see where this is going...). Ray gets Audrey out of her seat and asks me why her butt is wet. Yup, the cat totally pissed in her carseat. Do you know what a pain in the neck it is to take apart a carseat to clean it?

YUCK!!!

That's horrible! We had cats growing up and just the thought of that smell brings back bad memories.

And yes, taking about car seats sucks! Were you able to get all the smell out??

ewww. Poor Audrey! I guess there are some benefits of not having a garage...

I think you're actually lucky it was in the car seat and not the van seat as you may never get that smell out and at lest you can get new carseat.

Cute shoes, btw!

A tip, bread soda gets rid of the smell!

I live in flip flops all summer long, I love them.

Cat piss sucks. I agree with Lisa Chaos - good thing it peed in the car seat and not your van seats. We had a cat that did that to Abby's infant seat - we could never get the smell out (it soaked into the foam) and had to throw it away.

Love the shoes.

I hate cat piss. :S I know all to well how hard it is to clean a car seat.

Ohhhh that's awful. I take it that it wasn't even your cat? Of all places for the damn thing to pee... It couldn't be on the carpeting, right?

Our cat gets shut in the garage all the time and leaves us little treats... None quite as nice as that. Isn't that just the MOST fantastic smell ever???

Gross!!! I had one of my neighbors cats crap in my backseat! I left my car windows down one night.

At least you were able to take it apart and clean it. Poor Audrey though!

Oh man, that totally sucks. Totally horrible, and poor Audrey!

The smell, I can only imagine. And really, whos' the cat really pissed at?

I would buy a new carseat...and luckily it wasn't in the van itself because that would have been way worse, right?

Cute shoes, I love flip-flops as well!

Oh, my...

Oh, my goodness...

ICK ICK ICK! (And yes, your post title cracked me up!) ICK!

But flip flops? Next best thing to barefoot (my "shoes" of choice).

Sorry, I did giggle with your post, but I totally felt your pain!

GROSS!!! I am so sorry for you and Audrey! Good luck getting the smell out...there are so many hidden cracks and things on those car seats.....

sorry!

Ewwww....nothing worse than cat piss.

Well, unless you count cat crap. THAT is worse. Count your blessings!

Do you remember the great throw up debacle of 2007? Lo, I feel your pain in the car seat taking apart pain in the ass-ed-ness.

I hope it wasn't boy cat. You'll have every cat in the neighborhood following your van down the road to try and pee in it.

ewww-- cat pee is the worst!!

Two years ago Elliot says, "mommy my tummy hurts" and I looked into the rear view mirror just in time to see him vomit all over his car seat. I got home, took it apart and washed it. While the cover was outside drying a cat peed on it. Apparently, the vomit smell was offensive. I gave up - vomit & pee, too much for me.

Oh, YUCK! There is nothing worse than the smell of cat piss. I hope it was only on the cat seat and didn't get on your van seats. Try Citrus Magic Pet Eliminator.

Poor Audrey!

Cute shoes! I live in flip flops all summer long.

Cat pee in the carseat? HORRIBLE. There is NOTHING worse - I've had my cat pee in the bed before, but cleaning out the carseat is a pain.

and I've decided that almost every Fun Monday participant is a flip-flop fanatic (except me)

Love the flip flops I live in mine at home.

We have cats so yeah we've had the experience. One of our own cats used to get into the cars when we would leave the doors open for even a second so we got into the habit of checking frequently.
