Running, Turkeys-eating, Audrey hates high chairs

Happy Thanksgiving to all...I hope everyone is enjoying time with their families.

I ran a 5K this morning with my Stepdad. I had a stitch in my side the entire time, so I did one of my worst times, but I still did it. What was depressing though was the fact that the people doing the 8K race at the same time passed me while I was on mile two, which for them was mile 4. And the 80 year old speed walker that passed me at some point was not very uplifting either.

We had lunch at Hot Stacks (Edie, we thought about you!!) which is a local pancake shop. Then Thanksgiving dinner was at a fancy-schmancy restaurant here in Myrtle Beach. The food was great (especially the mashed potatoes, I ate my weight in those), but Audrey hasn't sat in her highchair at any meal so far. She hates them and expects to sit in our laps. I am really tired of eating with one hand. We hope she eventuallys grows out of the unfortunate stage.

I will post pics of the race and dinner tomorrow...I must go rest now, the outlets here are open at midnight, so Ray and I and my brother and his wife are going.

what about those booster seats? will she sit in those? not that you haven't probably thought of that.

Sorry about the race. But, you did it and that's what counts!!

Morgan, thankfully, is still good at sitting in the high chair. Now and then she won't and I can't say I'm a fan of eating with one hand while trying to keep her out of my food.

Happy shopping!

shop away! sorry to hear about the race...but it was good training for your shopping tonight! Don't worry about the high chair thing- I have never been out to eat and seen an 18 year old still sitting on their parents lap! ;) Happy Thanksgiving!

Isaac won't sit in highchair / booster seat either - never has. I swear it's because their older sibling is being a big kid - just my thoughts though. I hope it works out soon however, eating with one hand is sooo yesterday. I do the same thing girl....

Congrats on completing the 5K race, I'm sorry it wasn't a great experience for you, but hey you did it. I've never done it - so you WIN!

Hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving - and you must fill me in on your bargains, we are heading out now.

At least you finished the race. Probably did a lot better with a stitch in your side then I would have normally.

Joshua wasn't a fan of his high chair pretty early either but we had a high chair that you could take the tray off and pull up to the table that was the only way and still ended up with him in my lap sometimes.

Shopping at midnight? I know a lot of people like the black friday thing but I've just never wanted to do it, but that might have to do with the fact that I've been one of the workers and it was always a bad day.

I'm so jealous that you had Hot Stacks!! :) The race sounds, well... interesting. I don't know how you run that far, I'd surely give out after the first ten minutes. Glad the meal was great. Our food was good, but people were cranky. What's up with that?!?!?

Has Audrey tried booster seats?
