Ashley

It seems that one may look at my blog postings over the past few days and think I just have one daughter, Audrey. It didn't help that I spent a whole weekend with just her a few weekends ago, while Ray took Ashley to Virginia for a visit.

So what is Ashley up to?

High School Musical. She's obsessed. She sings the songs, wants to watch the movies, wants High School Musical clothes.

Ask her what she wants to be when she grows up? A character on High School Musical.

When she wakes up in the morning, she normally calls out for me so that I can say she can get up (I know! How lucky I am! But you forget I have another child who has decided sleeping is an option...a post on that later in the week, don't worry).

This morning she decided singing High School Musical songs was more important than getting out of bed.

And yes, I think the movie is a little old for her. She got into it because all of the kids in her Pre-K class are into it, and the teachers let the kids bring in CDs to listen to in the afternoon, and High School Musical is a frequent on the play list. And her best friend Hayden is into as well.

But she likes the singing, and the dancing. As long as she doesn't want to go around kissing boys, I am okay with it.

My daughter loves HSM as well. I did have to put my foot down when she wanted "I Love Troy" socks...I thought that was a bit much for a 4 year-old.

well, you know no kissing or anything in HSM 1 - it's squeeky clean. not until HSM 2 at the end is there even any kissng.

and you know our house - we're all about HSM, Hannah Montana, etc. EMILY is actualy wearing a HM t-shirt today. i know, i'm bad but she loves it.

that's cool... If Gen were allowed to become HSM crazed, she would. She tries to be, but the reality is: she has never seen the movie and has an elevated interest because it's a trend. She knows nothing about it...

How cute is that. At least you get to hear her sing HSM songs and not some other things that children pick up on

Kaylie loves HSM too! She knows the songs and everything. Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus and HSM rule her world right now! Haley likes Hannah Montana, but hasn't mentioned HSM...yet.

I've never seen it, but it certainly is popular!

What a nice update on Ashley. I think all girls are into High School Musical. I'm sure it is okay that she sings the songs.

So cute that she waits for you to tell her when to get up. How sweet! I used to have kids who did that, but they have decided that they are "over it". UGH! (esp. my two teenage girls who now want to sleep until 3pm!!!)

I have boys so HSM is NOT something that I have any clue about. And I'm okay with that. Really, I am.

I can't even imagine what's down the road for you having TWO girls! It's going to be fun, that's for sure.

Some how I have managed to keep my kids from really getting into HSM I can't complain either. They are really into Hannah Montana lately though.
