Some days, I just need a really good cry

We did not get into the school we wanted. No one on our street did or our neighborhood for that matter. Random my ass.

I can handle alot, but yesterday was the straw that broke the camel's back. After Edie called to tell me she checked my mail and Ashley didn't get in, I couldn't stop crying at my desk. Pathetic, I know. I can handle stuff, I really can, but it just seems to keep piling on. The school for Ashley, our house in Virginia that is back on the market, school work, band obligations (I am responsible for applying for grants), helping out the person that is staying with us. One.thing.after.another.

Ray and I are trying to not spend any money we don't have to in case we have to pay two mortgages for some unidentified amount of time. I really like shopping at Target. I haven't stepped foot in that store in weeks. Ray and I haven't had a "date night" in months. We cancelled the cleaning lady. Don't expect a clean house if you come to visit. And speaking of visits, we would love our families to come visit, but everyone has their own stuff going on - unemployed, getting settled in new homes, finalizing plans for weddings. Ray's Mom has a blood clot in her leg, my Mom had surgery on her ears last week.

I know there are worse things, I really do. I even know people going through worse things than any of this. I guess I just had enough and some days, I just need a good cry. Tomorrow will be a new day.

:( We all have days like this.

I hope things start looking up soon. I'm here if you need me.

Oh Amy...I'm so sorry that she didn't get it. You're right thought...something is very suspicious about the fact that no one in your neighborhood got int...

I hope your house in Virginia sells very quickly and that the financial stress will go away. I wish I lived by you...I would come and clean your house :)

sorry things didn't work out as you planned... just try to remember that things happen for a reason. Maybe she will love the school she is going to? Maybe the other school wasn't the "right match" even if it is known to be a "better school"

I hope your house sells quickly and things settle down

big hugs (o:

You have A LOT on your plate - it's understandable how you feel. It's easy to feel overwhelmed but just remember, all situations are temporary - you will sell your house, Ashley will go to Kindergarten, etc. I stressed SO badly last year about Abby's school this year and you know what, IT ALL WORKS OUT. I know she might not go to your first choice but she will go to a school that she'll love and meet tons of new friends and all will be good.

Oh, and if I drag my butt down to NC I won't expect a clean house! : )

I'm so, so very sorry. :( If I were closer I'd give you a big hug and cry right along with you.

Things will look up soon - just hang in there.

Hey, just sent you an email that summarizes how they determined magnet school applications. Check that out. It's really messed up, but explains why no one in your area got it.

I think it sucks. We really wanted both of you guys to get in, we are truly disappointed also because it's not what we had envisioned. Let me know if we can help you in anyway ok?

Oh Amy, I'm so sorry. I know how badly you guys wanted this.

As for the other things, on their own they're much more manageable. Piled all together and it's no wonder you needed a good cry. Hell, I think you need a good cry AND a bottle of tequila!

I wish I could do something to help. Whether it be cleaning the house, donating to the Target fund or renting/buying your other house. But, I can't. So, I'll just be here.

Hang in there, girly...it WILL get better.

I'm with Lori, everything happens for a reason. It'll all work out in the end. Go in teh bathroom, get a good ugly cry out and then you'll feel better. You're right...tomorrow is a new day. {{hugs}} to you!

Everyone needs to have a good cry now and then.

Things will get better. I'm sorry all this is happening at all, much less, all at once.

I'm so sorry the school didn't work out; and I've been there with the double mortgage thing. We had a buyer, we bought a new house, the buyer changed his mind, and bam! Two mortgages. Back then, I used to find solace in yelling at hockey games, but crying works, too -- and is probably much more grown-up :)

Hang in there. Life's 'downs' are what make the 'ups' that much nicer.

Amy, I'm so sorry so you have so much JUNK going on right now. I know it probably doesn't matter to hear us all saying this (right now anyway), but things will get back to some sort of normalcy soon.

Been there, done that (and will probably go back in the not-too-distant future), and a good cry really does help. Naps are good too!

I'm so sorry you did not get into the school of choice! It's ok to have those down days! You have a TON of stuff weighing on your mind. Trust me lately I've had way too many! Your entitled to them! Sometimes the stress is way too much to handle without some type of release!! I hope tomorrow is a better day for you!

A good cry can be so cleansing sometimes. I am always amazed (and skeptical) when someone tells me, "Oh, I never cry."

I hope things are looking up for you soon.

By the way, I found you through the J&J Camp Baby group at NaBloPoMo. Looking forward to meeting you!

(((HUGS)))... I feel like I could have written your story. We went a year paying double mortgages and it sucks and now we are here in Florida with hubb's transfer job that was suppose to be all great... well it looks like it was all promises.

It can only get better right? I keep saying that LOL. Here's to good selling vibes and a wonderful Easter weekend for you all.

I hate days like these when it seems like things just keep coming at you. You are right that tomorrow is a new day and has the potential to be much better. Just remember while THE school may be nice ultimately I think families and the teacher make the biggest impact so I will pray that all will go well in Ashley's new school and that she is blessed with a great teacher!!

Sorry about all that. That would be really frustrating about the school. I know you had your hopes up.
Sometimes a good cry works good. I hope the house sells soon.

I hear ya! Sometimes it's just that one more thing that does it - and yes, a really good cry does seem to help, even if it can't change anything.

Sorry your daughter didn't get in to the magnet school :-(

Here's to hoping things start looking up after tax season is over . . . all that inspecting every cent you've spent for the past year is always so nerve wracking . . . we're doing that here as well.

I'm thinkin' about you!
