To say I was mad that I was not invited to the Disney Mommy Blogger Event is an understatement. I am currently planning my 15 trip to Disney, I honeymooned there, I have played in the Magic Music Days, I have a Disney themed guest bedroom in my house.
My anger has subsided (maybe they will do another one?? Please, please invite me!!) and I am joining in on Jennifer's Blog Carnival for Disney related themes. Every Friday, there is a different topic to write on.
This Friday is Disney Magic. And yes, it is magical.
I know there are people who go to Disney and hate it; the crowds, the cost, the Florida heat. What I tell them? Don't go then. Vacation somewhere else.
To me, I see all the little things about Disney that makes it magical for me. The hidden mickeys, every cast member calling my daughters princesses. All the little touches every where from in our hotel room to on the rides to at the restaurants.
What is even more magical? Seeing Disney World through Ashley and Audrey's eyes. I had visited Disney many times without kids. And now? I get just as excited as the kids.
It is also magical because every time we go we do something we haven't done on a previous trip - eat at a new restaurant, take a Segway tour, get a massage, eat a new treat.
I can't wait for our trip in September...can you tell?

We have SO got to go with you. I've not been since I was a kid and I know YOU would know all the stuff that is "Must do!"
You made a good point about return trips to Disney...we've been over 25 times and we,too, always find something new to do. Great post!
Once again, we've never taken the girls : ( But when we do I"m going to bring you in my suitcase so you can be our tour guide!
Disney is one of the reasons I moved to Orlando... not that I get there very often, but still! How can you go and not feel the magic? I can NOT wait to take the kids and watch the magic through their eyes
The Segwey's weren't open yet when we were there, but that looked cool.
I'm glad you joined in. You can't stay mad at Disney long :)
I'm planning my first trip with kids in 2009 hopefully. My daughter will be 10, but I think she'll really get into the hidden Mickey's.
Funny, I live near Disney and the Florida heat is too much for me, which is why we don't go in the summer - Our family went about 20 times just last year and every time there is something new :)
I've never been to Disney World, but I love Disney Land. I can't wait until my 2 year old is old enough to go(what age would that be?)...
We have a separate savings account for him that we call his "Disney Land account". It's going to be so fun when we go!!
And also, what is this Disney Mommy Bloggers event?? It sounds cool.
When I saw this posted on 5 Minutes for Mom and then browsed over at Jennifer's site - I totally thought of you. And I was going to mention it but knew you'd see it - simply because it's Disney.
I can't wait to take my kids. And it would be totally awesome to join you guys! Since you guys are like Disney Professionals......
I also love how they call the little girls "Princess". When I was there this past January on an adults only trip, a few cast members called me princess and it just made my day.
I haven't been to Disney since I was 12 . . . and I can't wait! We're planning a trip in October . . . how fun! I'm sure I've already missed out on the sign up for breakfast with the Princesses . . . boo hoo :-( Any advice for a newbie going to Disney with an 8 year old and almost 6 year old by then? They're great travellers :-)
