Sometimes, we are not meant to travel.

Actually, the trip is going well considering how many different places we are dragging the kids to. We left many friends in Virginia, as well as three sets of Grandparents, so going from place to place is the norm.

Last night, we had dinner with friends in Haymarket, and we decided since we had our empty and unsold, unrented house, we would just crash there. We had air mattresses for Ray, Audrey and I, and Ashley wanted to sleep in her tent (yes, we remember to bring this stuff, but not our clothes for the wedding).

The problem? The gas was not turned on in our house like we thought it was. No heat (lows in the 50s at night) and no hot water.

So we spent a chilly night, and then went back to our friends house to shower in the morning.

Look at it as an adventure :)

A chilly, smelly adventure.

Or something.

That sucks - but at least you had friends near by for a warm shower!

Hope the wedding was fun.

It must have been kinda fun to camp in your old house though! And at least you had a warm shower...nearby! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week and everything gets accomplished!
