I really jinxed myself a few posts ago.
Ashley ended up on "blue" one day last week. That means a phone call home from the teacher. That means she really wasn't listening. That means that I cried and was upset and didn't know what do to.
And I am glad I didn't write about it then, because it would have been one mess of a post. But now, after talking with the teacher and talking with Ashley and talking with her pediatrician (she happened to have her 5 year check up on Friday), we are good to go. I think. At least we have a plan for at home and a plan for at school.
And Friday she was on "green" all day. And the teacher gave her a treat from the treasure box.
So we move on. Ashley had a good checkup (95% for height, maybe she will like basketball?) on Friday, I got to see my favorite country band Rascal Flatts on Saturday night, and my Dad came to visit for the weekend. Sundays have been pretty rough these past weekends with Ashley being tired from the previous week and the weekend, but we had a good Sunday.
And now I can barely keep my eyes open...

I hope things continue to go well for her this week.
Kindergarten is such a tough adjustment! I hope this week proves to be much easier for both of you!
Fingers crossed things keep going in the right direction. Keep positive! d
Hope Ashley keeps moving forward and sees that green is good! Our schools do the stoplight (green, yellow, and red). Glad ya had a good weekend...and I am so jealous! I LOVE Rascal Flatts!
That's great that you have a plan. I hope everything goes well this week. Parenting can be tough sometimes, huh? Thank goodness there are wonderful perks such as big hugs, lots of kisses, and I love you's!!
Maybe she's turned a corner - hopefully things will continue to go well this week :-)
We start actual kindergarten next week . . . keep your fingers crossed for me as well!
I hope this week goes smoother! Maybe the positive attention of a green day will have helped
At least you're now on the upswing! : )
Yeah for Ashley!! I'm sure she's settling in now and learning the routine. How was the concert? I've seen them once before and they were AWESOME! I just bought their latest CD.
sounds like the behavior plan I have in my class- sorry Ashley was having trouble- I hope it will all smooth out. It is quite an adjustment for kids to start going to school. I'm glad you have a home and school plan - that always helps. Good for you.
Sorry you have had to deal with it all though and you are feeling so tired.
She'll be okay. :)
It's so tough on parents when the kiddos are having a difficult time - even tougher on moms, I think. I hope this rocky road smooths out soon!
Oh no. I'm sorry to hear that she went to blue status, but I'm glad to hear that you have a plan and that you've moved on. I wish you continued luck!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Rascal Flatts! They are, hands down, my favorite band! I've seen them everytime they've come to Memphis!
