I don't normally look at the number of my posts. I do enough blabbing on this site not to even remotely pay attention to the post numbers. But I just happened to notice when I logged in this morning...700 posts in almost 3 years.

Anyway, onward towards Thanksgiving. Ashley's last day at school for the week is today. I have to work tomorrow (I am negative in my leave balance, such is life), so the girls will stay home with Ray in the morning. I am going to leave at lunch time tomorrow and we will head to Myrtle.

Next week is Ashley's last week at school before she tracks out. I have a question for all of those parents of school-aged kids - do you get presents for all the teachers (spanish, art, music, pe)? I already gave money to the room Mom for Ashley's teacher and assistant teacher. I thought maybe making some peppermint bark for the other teachers, but I didn't know. And then what about the bus driver? Can you tell this is stressing me out?

Most parents do not get gifts for the "special area" teachers, so I'm sure if you wanted to any little thing would be appreciated.

We only do gifts for her homeroom teacher and language arts - the two teachers that teach her everyday. We don't ride a bus but my friend who's kids do...their stop usually comes up with a collection to get a joint gift for the driver.

Music teachers really like to get presents too :( Something like peppermint bark would be plenty.

Just think -- 700 times you sat down to write on your blog.

I don't know about you - but I would not have written this much stuff without this kind of technology.

And look at what your girls will have -- better than any scrapbook or photo album!

ps
I never gave presents (that I recall) to my kids teachers.

I guess I figured that getting a Christmas break from my kids was gift enough for them. hee hee

I think some homemade treats would be perfect!

I'm stressed out about this too....let me know what you come up with!

I never even thought (or considered) getting gifts for teachers but I guess it's the thing to do?

Maybe I'll bake up some goodies, I mean really I'm not made of money!
