The Weekend That Wasn't

So the snow for Raleigh was supposed to start around midnight on Friday night. Instead, it started snowing about 7:30pm while Ray and I were out to dinner with friends. It snowed I guess through the night, but on Saturday it was all sleet, all day.

We got probably 3-4 inches of snow, but with the sleet on top of that, it is one icy mess here in Raleigh.

Saturday was supposed to be a haircut for me; basketball breakfast/pictures/game for Ashley; dinner out with friends for me. None of these events happened.

Instead Ashley decided to catch the stomach bug everyone else on our street has and threw up all over our bed on Saturday night. And now I feel like its a ticking time bomb waiting for Audrey to get it.

Sunday was more of the same. Church was closed and a birthday party Audrey was supposed to go was cancelled. Ashley didn't throw up anymore, but pretty much stayed on the couch all day. I was supposed to host a few friends over for scrapbooking, but considering two of them are pregnant and one has an infant, I thought it was best that they didn't come over to puke-fest house.

And today? Schools are closed, my office is closed. We have to leave our house though because WE HAVE NO FOOD. Seriously, we don't even have milk anymore. The main roads are fine, just the neighborhood streets are icy. Hopefully most will melt away today and we can get back on schedule tomorrow.

Yes, snow sucks!! It throws a damper on everyone's plans and doesn't care :) I know someone who has been stuck in the airport in your area since Sat. He is hoping to catch a plane out today.

I saw that you guys had gotten some snow! I seriously think you have gotten more than we have. What's up with that anyways, I LIVE IN COLORADO.

Here's to hoping that everyone else in your house stays puke-free!
