Don't worry, I will have some great pictures to post of Audrey.
Wanna know why?
SHE BROKE HER ARM.
Yup.
About 9:15 last night, she attempted to climb out of her crib. We heard a crash and instant crying, and we ran up. She was pretty inconsolable, and then we noticed she wasn't really moving her arm. So the decision was made for Ray to take her to the ER (I just can't handle those things...) and I stayed with Ashley.
They came home about midnight with instructions to go to an orthopaedic doctor today. She also had a splint on which was not fun. She could not use her hand at all, and she just kept saying "take it off."
Today they put on a cute pink cast, and she has full use of her hand. The cast is waterproof which is cool, but we have to go back next week as they are concerned she will be able to pull the cast off after the swelling goes down. She might have to have it redone.
And yes, we are converting her crib to a toddler bed today. We had been talking about doing it for the past two weeks, and well, now we have to.
I promise pictures later today...

Holy freakin hell!!!!!!!! OMG!!! Thank goodness she is alright!!!! Poor baby.
I am having flash forwards now of taking Alyssa to the ER.
awww. well having had a broken arm i can tell u that the cast sucks and at her age, i agree, even saying 'no' may not be enough. i recommend if it lasts long enough to start itching that u give her a ruler, flyswatter handle, etc and let her go to town, you cant see her itch but she can feel it -usually i think its just dry skin and once its rubbed off it quits.. good luck
WOW! Poor Audrey! I am glad it wasn't more serious and that she is okay. Quite the little dare devil huh?
Poor thing!
oh poor Audrey~ I hope she soon recovers from the shock. She can always have some fun letting everyone sign her cast!
Oh No!!!
Poor Audrey!
I'm sure she is hating it and letting you know every second huh?
She is quite the daredevil, sounds like my youngest! Hope she feels better soon! You too!
I feel so bad for her. :(
oh no! poor Audrey. And poor you. That would make me a nervous wreck!
Oh man Amy, poor you! Poor Audrey. Poor everybody. It makes me sad to think that she broke her arm, little kids in casts always breaks my heart.
Good thing though is that they do heal fast and being that she's so young - she probably won't even remember it.
Here's to quick healing!
Poor thing! I'm glad she's better today though. At least she got a cute pink cast - instead of a boring white one!
Oh my goodness! That poor little thing! I feel so bad for her!
I'm glad she's OK though (no head injuries or anything like that)...I know how scary it is to hear a crash followed by screaming.
I hope she gets through it well and that it's not too hard on you guys!
OMG!!!! I have always worried about something like that! I am so sorry! I hope she is alright and feeling like her old self soon! I'll be thinking of all of you!
OMG!! That's enough to scare enough the toughest mama. Mine broke her arm at age 11 -- that's a whole different story from having it happen so young. Maybe the stitches at age 2 make up for it...
holy cow!!!! you poor thing! I have a feeling that you feel worse than Audrey does! :(
Oh poor Audrey. :( Hope she heals fast. :)
Awww....poor baby :( I'm glad she's okay, though.
I'm so sad :(
Oh poor Audrey!!
I wanna see the cute pink cast though.
Joshua had a cast as a baby he hated it.
Poor little one!! OMG! You must have just freaked! Well, I'm glad she is ok, except for her broken arm. It's amazing what they do with casting now...pink, huh? Cute! And Waterproof...wow! Hope you're hanging in!
Poor Audrey, I hope the pain has eased for her.
The pink cast sounds cool, when I broke my ankle 16 years ago there was only white casts!
ACK! I think everyone has already expressed the many things I would say! Hope it heals quickly & with the least amount of itchin' (and bitchin') possible!! Scary!!
I'm so glad Audrey is okay!!! And at least her cast is "Princess Pink"! So far I've been lucky with my daughter...but I'm sure I have lots of ER visits in my future with my fearless little boy.
Oh noes!
