Not a Normal Week

Tomorrow morning, we meet Ashley's kindergarten teacher. Next week, she goes for her sort of first day on Wednesday. They do staggered entry here for kindergarteners, and only a few from each class go each day of the first week. And then she will be going every day starting the 14th.

We think we have a schedule for when she is officially in school. I will take her to the bus stop in the morning as her bus comes at 7:45am. Then I will take Audrey to school. Ray is planning on being there when she gets off the bus at 3:15pm, even though that may mean he works some in the evenings as well. I should still be home by 5:30pm.

I am sure there will be days where this will have to be juggled, but we are going to try and stick to this. And hopefully tomorrow, Ashley falls in love with her new teacher.

Wow, I can't believe it's that time already. Our babies are growing up so fast!

It's so nice that between the two of you she won't need any before or after school care! I wish we could do that!

How exciting! I was a bucket of tears when my niece started Kindergarten. I can only imagine in 4 more years when Lovey starts.
Y'all must have year round school.

She will totally love her kindergarten teacher! I still remember my kindergarten teacher's name and what she looked like. Can't really say that about other teachers/grades I had. Something about kindergarten teachers - they are (at the risk of sounding hokey) pretty magical. The entry process is interesting - I like it - makes it less overwhelming for kids that haven't been in a program before. Ashley will adjust perfectly and love it! Sounds like you and Ray have the schedule all worked out too. Not daycare costs for Ashley!!! I'm totally jealous!

Good luck! Kindergarten teachers are such special people and I am sure Ashley will love her. Can't wait to hear about all the Kindergarten adventures.

I watched Elliot in his first karate class last night and nearly cried from pride and sadness at how big he is. I would be a bumbling mess in your shoes. Bus stop? School? What's next dating and moving to college? No. No. No.

But then again, you sound much saner than I do :)

Go Ashley! Go forth and make your mama proud!

Good luck with school. My kids are older (11 and 15). I do remember how excited they were to start kindergarten.

SO much juggling to accomadate school and busses - hope it all works out.

Hope all goes well. I am sure it will.

Anderson starts Junior Kindergarten in September and we just found out that he will be in a junior-senior split with his big brother - not sure how I feel about that...but we all adore the teacher!!!

Good luck...your little one is growing up!
